The Geldgeschichtliche Nachrichten (GN) is not only a numismatic professional journal, but an instrument to reach an exclusive circle of coin friends.

Editorial profile

The Geldgeschichtliche Nachrichten (GN) is the most popular numismatic magazine in Germany. It was established in 1965 by the Gesellschaft für Internationale Geldgeschichte and is published six times a year.

Scientific articles by well-known numismatists on all aspects of coin and money history are the basic elements of the magazine. Furthermore, new editions of coins and medals are presented, new editions of numismatic literature are being reviewed and reports are made on current events from the world of numismatics.

The combination of a black-and-white and colour printing, a vintage layout and a high quality finish makes the Geldgeschichtliche Nachrichten a coveted antiquarian object.

The readers, range and number of copies of the GN

The GN readers are also members of the Gesellschaft für Internationale Geldgeschichte. They are passionate coin and medal collectors and invest a great deal of time in their hobby. A high educational level paired with a broad range of interest on numismatics are the characteristics of a typical GN reader.

The Geldgeschichtliche Nachrichten is being read in more than 30 countries on all continents. You will reach an exclusive circle of coin friends worldwide by the print run of 1.200 copies.
